Grrr Baby

I was asked if I had an interview today three different times.
I'm a little confused... I live in Northern California, not the Jersey Shore.
While I liked the outfit, I would never wear animal print while hoping to impress a future employer.

A few things about this outfit:
  • I love these pants, they are seriously awesome. What is not awesome is that I've gained weight since I bought them and they are now too small... boo! I wasn't completely sure of that until I got in the car on my way down the hill and that was a little too late (already uncomfortable).  They are also too short, like 2+ inches too short... double boo!
  • I liked the way the outfit looked with the scarf way better than without (another day where the layering changes the look).
  • While I loved the cheetah print sweater, everyone makes a comment about it.  I'm not sure I want to hear a comment everytime I see a different person throughout the day.  My boss asked me if I'd gone big game hunting and killed a cheetah- really?

This is not reflective of my day in general.
This is the look of a girl that is glad that Monday is O-V-E-R!

  1. I love this one! Especially the belt! And the cheetah...I admit it :)

  2. I think you're a wise lady not to wear animal prints to a job interview ;) Suits, people.

  3. I think it is awesome- Men especially seem to feel the need to "clothes comment" (at least at my job LOL)
    I love the pants!!

  4. I once wore a raspberry/black zebra print (under a suit jacket) to an interview and got the job offer. I was actually kind of suprised.

    Love the cardigan!

  5. 1) your title made me giggle.

    2) your hair is awesome like this.

    3) love the cardi

    4) Jersey Shore will never be this classy.

    5) short pants = perfect for flats

    6) YAY you found your camera cord!

  6. Meredith - thanks, first time I've worn the two together!
Elizabeth - I'll keep that in mind ;o)
Cinder - I agree, mostly men were making remarks.
Kimberly - You have such classy style, I bet you rocked it!
Tina - thank you thank you thank you

  7. LOL..I don't think I have ever gone to an interview without a suit on. In fact, I contemplated a very dark green pants suit for black or navy.

Drop me a line! I would love to hear what you think of The Clothed Commuter.
