EveryBody EveryWear - Polka Dots

Image 609
It is time for another installment of Everybody Everywear and this month's theme is polka dots.  This is a project created by Liz from 26 And Counting and Linda from The Auspicious Life as a way for style bloggers to show how a wardrobe staple can be worn in so many different ways.  Previous themes included the Blazer, Breton Stripes and gingham.
I think polka dots are current, classic, retro, versatile and just plain fun!  I love that they can be worn casually or dressy.  I'm not sure why I don't have more polka dots in my wardrobe?

I couldn't have asked for this outfit to come together any better. The combination of the pencil skirt and the belted shirt felt slimming, sassy and comfortable.  I was originally going to wear my black pencil skirt but thought the khaki skirt was a little more interesting.  The polka dot top is a wrap shirt but I preferred the way the belt finished off the look. After tying the shirt at the side, I tucked the bow under the belt.  Next time I need to find a way to secure the bow under the belt... I had to adjust it numerous times throughout the day.  Maybe some fabric tape would do the trick.
